I came across this site and knew I had to share it. First, it's free. Second, you can search in various ways - grade level, skill, genre, Lexile range, and more. And third, an account is possible, but not required. The passages also come with questions & an answer key.
Being able to search by skill and grade level really seem the most helpful.
