AI Quests

WEBSITE AI Quests (from Google)

GRADE LEVELS  Middle school

AI Quests is built for teachers to use in their middle school classrooms to help teach students about AI. It is designed to be a game. There are 3 quests students can choose from. The site also includes teacher resources to help even the most new-to-AI teachers use AI Quests to teach about AI.

HOW CAN TEACHERS USE THIS RESOURCE?
I can see teachers use Google’s code-free AI Quests to teach data literacy and ethics by letting students train interactive models to see firsthand how biased data distorts results. STEM and social studies educators can also integrate these quests into interdisciplinary units.

Get Started with Google AI in K12 Education

GRADE LEVELS all grades

I believe we adults need to learn about AI - and this course is 100% free to help with that! I've completed it myself and found it to be helpful. It's not a course that tells you AI is going to magically change your life and "fix" everything. Instead it provides an understanding and shares helpful ways for us to use AI in our lives. Anytime we can better understand, we can better guide and structure our use.

HOW CAN TEACHERS USE THIS RESOURCE?
I can see teachers using this to help themselves have a better understanding of AI. This can also help teachers better understand where and how they can implement AI in their work. And you can earn 2 hours of professional learning once you've completed the course (provided your district allows it).

AI Toolkit

GRADE LEVELS  all grades

AI is THE buzz word right now. And more than that ... you can't read or do much without AI somehow being connected. Yet, do you feel like you've got a handle on AI? I sure don't. Do you feel like the educational leaders have a handle on AI? I don't. Ohio put out this AI Toolkit part way through the 23/24 school year and while I've not dug in deep, it sure does relieve a bit of my worries. I don't have to know everything. I can refer to and read through their resources. If you are like me, bookmark this one and read parts of it at different points in the year.

HOW CAN TEACHERS USE THIS RESOURCE?
I can see administrators and teachers using the AI Toolkit to support their learning and understanding of artificial intelligence. Since AI is less than 2 years old (in the summer of 2024) and I know that things will change rapidly and we need to rely on others who have more time and knowledge on this topic.
